Lan has no internet access after restarting pfsense
-
Hi, I hope someone could help. I just restarted pfsense.
I am not sure what is wrong with my pfsense configuration.
I have tried all instructions online.
Anything that may help will be much appreciated. Thank you.

I don't have an immediate answer to your problem, but considering how old the build is that you're running, now might be the time to upgrade and THEN continue working on the problem – if it is still a problem after upgrade.

Given it shows 0 states, you have some kind of issue that's preventing the ruleset from loading. Go to a command prompt and run 'pfctl -f /tmp/rules.debug' and you'll see what.
You need to upgrade, might be an invalid config we automatically skip in newer versions to prevent ruleset breakage. But loading the ruleset manually at the command line will show what the problem is.

Where exactly should I key that in?
I am really not familiar with this. The last time it worked. I just restarted pfsense after that the connection to the internet is lost.
I really need help with this one.
Thanks

Go to your pfSense console (or SSH in if you have that enabled), pick option 8 for Shell and then run that command.

I tried to restore to factory defaults and reloaded the previous backup.
But I seem to be stuck at reinstalling packages.
-
Did you upgrade?
-
No only restored the previous settings.
LAN can ping 8.8.8.8 from pfsense
WAN can ping 8.8.8.8 from pfsense
DNS lookup can find 8.8.8.8Pfsense can ping local computers and router
But local computers can not ping pfsenseBut computers are getting " DNS server isnt responding issue"
Our setup is like this
Internet>pfsense>switch>router>computers

If you wiped your config and didn't upgrade you're doing it wrong.
