      Hey guys,

I'm trying to setup pfSense on a firebox x1250e I picked up. I read the doc here: https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/PfSense_on_Watchguard_Firebox#X-Core-e and followed along with setting up free dos (along with a youtube video).

biosid command shows all my info matches the pfsense doc.

My issue is when I use any awdflash command nothing seems to happen. I tried a backup and no file was created, tried a flash and nothing happened. I tried writing the CF card with both Physdiskwrite and Win Disk imager too see if that was the issue but no change.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

EDIT: Problem solved. Not sure what the issue was, tried a few days later and it worked.

Having issues with the DMA setting. I read the Boot troubleshooting guide https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Boot_Troubleshooting#Disable_DMA_for_IDE_drives.

Basically trying to find out how to make the changes to the config file (/boot/loader.conf.local file) as per https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=20095.msg480824#msg480824.

Should I have the pfsense 2.2 compact flash in? Console @ 115200 does not get me a command prompt to make the changes. Can anyone give me a basic rundown on how to make the changes.

Sorry for the noob question but I've never done flashing before.
