Unable to create username with more than 16 character

      I am unable to create username with more than 16 character. Any help will be appreciated.

Perhaps because some FreeBSD API do not support more than 16 char. ?

why would you need/want a username of such length?  Password sure, username?

Use an external authentication server (RADIUS, LDAP, etc) if you need to make a longer username.

I believe the sAMAccountName in windows is limited to 20…  So guess you could get 4 extra characters that way..  But come on really why would anyone use such long usernames??
