NAT - Map Public IP to Internal IP
-
Hi,
We are on the verge to migrate one of our internal network from Cisco ASA to PFSense. I have a question which is very important for us to know before proceeding with the migration.
As per the subject title I need to map a public IP with one of our internal IP in the server farm. I have multiple IPs to map.
In Cisco you have to create a static rule.Cisco.
Type-Static - Original Source-192.168.10.10 (Internal IP) - Translated Interface-WAN - Address-217.168.xxx.xxx (Public IP)PFSense
Firewall -> NAT -> 1:1
Interface -> WAN
External Subnet IP -> 217.168.xxx.xxx
Internal IP -> 192.168.10.10Is this the proper way to configure External IP mapping to Internal IP.
Awaiting for you reply. ThanksRegards,

The guy show her how to do it correctly but they still selected NATing not 1:1 any way. I suggest 1:1

I want to configure my webserver with an external ip address connected to the pfsense box is that possible? I want to disable NAT on that interface so I can configure my server with an external ip address
