I have downloaded 2.25 amd64 live cd release
      I burned ISO to CDROM
      it never boots!
I have the previous 2.2.4 version boots fine and installs but I had problems with that version. and really wanted to try again.

I know how to burn ISO's
I downloaded from 2 diff sites (ESF and Bluegrass) and 2 diff CDdrives and 2 different CD burns. w/dvdcd verify each time after write.

FYI for fun I downloaded the most recent ubuntu burned it and it sets up and installs fine so not a problem with media or cd /dvd burner

      Any Ideas?

Define "it never boots", doesn't see it as a bootable CD?

You are correct it does not boot from it.

Exacty as I said above "it wont boot" and goes to OS on hard disk
and yes I have set the bios correctly to boot up from CD and yes I watch the screen for the prompt press any key to boot from cd.

and yes for fun I made a bootable ubuntu and it installed and booted just fine.

And how exactly does this help? You should use the published checksums to verify the file before burning.

So you know how to burn iso, but not how to verify your sum?  What I can tell you is the hash checks fine, and iso boots just fine..
