      Hello Team,

I am using pfsense from last 2 years and its such a great package.

I want to configure traffic shaper (below is the scenario ):

      Interface Details :-
      WAN (12MB)
      4 LAN connections

      1. I want to make container of 8 MB which will be used for web (http / https)
      2. 2MB container for mail (IMAP / POP / SMTP)
      3. 3 MB container for other

I want to configure it like all users are using web of 8MB equally sharing. But if no one or few people are using mail then the remaining bandwidth from mail container should be used by web.

For Example : If web container of 8 MB is already being used by the users and if no one is using mail then the 2MB from mail container should be included in web so that users will get total 10MB for web access whenever no one use the mail.

Is it possible to do such thing that bandwidth will be automatically included to another container whenever it not being used?

I have tried the limiters but its constant, if i create a limiter for http/https of 8 MB. Users are restricted to use 8MB only even if remaining 4MB is un used.

      Please help me out.

      Thanks in advance.

          Yes.  That's how HFSC works.

Like KOM said, in a nutshell HFSC lets you specify the minimum amount of bandwidth you want to provide a queue, and HFSC will fairly distribute the bandwidth that meets your minimums.
