Yeah, click the link as noted above. Configure service name. Nothing dies here, get a sane install.

thanks guys, but after 8 redbulls and 2 pizzas later, still couldn't get it to work. switching to mikrotik for the time.

          I appreciate the help.

also there is a bug when I have 254 users selected in pppoe server, the interface –-> PPP edit page while saving gives error ... input variable exceeded 1000.

Probably a good decision, sounds like serious health hazard…  ;D

I need service name in pppoe server on pfsense,  is that possible ?

the only reason I want it is when I put on production environment, it should not dial connection that are meant for other ISP's .

can someone please write me a script or commands?

I hate mikrotik, want to replace them with pfsense.

SSH into pfSense, select 8, and then type:

                ps ax | grep 'ppp'

                ?

                This might work:
Read the sticky threads here: https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?board=34.0
Then, do a nice technical write up that makes clear your wishes (not a one-liner).
Throw in an amount of $ or €.

Note: I'm using a single WAN connection that uses PPPOE, and I don't know what you're talking about.

Edit : and where are the logs ??

done and done …. solved it and also added it to the web GUI ...

and yes it goes to config.xml

throwing my mikrotiks in storage tonight.

send me a beer if want it too ...

successfully ran it with 5 pppoe server on same interface and different radius ,  and also passing clients not meant for my server to wan to dial to my other providers ...

my gepon network is is now live with 1000+ users ..
                    max concurrent users 450+

                    I love pfsense ...

now I need to know how to dial more than 20 pppoe connections on my single wan interface.

Do you have the diff for this change and/or an issue # to track it with?

                          Hi, Sagardawa!
I do not mean to bother you but the files you uploaded seem to be removed.
I am now trying to settle my PPPoE server with a service name so that the clients would not connect to the undesired server.
Could you kindly send the files again?
