Limiting exclusions
-
hey im new to the forum.
i setup a limiter for all clients on my network, and im having troubles excluding 3-4 devices from the rule, i read somewhere to create a rule above the limiter rule and set high limits for the specific ip's, but everything i try end up just blocking internet to those devices all together
if someone could point me in the right direction would be great and very appreciated

Maybe if you showed us what you tried….

sorry, so basically i just tried the same thing as i did when i created the limiter for the network, but in these limiters i just set up and down to 1gbs, and in the firewall rule, i just specified a single ip. I couldn't find a whole lot of information when i was trying to google it.
thank you

192.168.0.49/31 covers IP addresses 192.168.0.48 and 192.168.0.49. (You probably want to specify 192.168.0.48/31 for clarity instead)
Just enable that rule and remove the limiters on it. Those two source IP addresses will not be limited.
And instead of a special limiter rule, just delete that and add the limiters to the default rule.
