      Hello,

In a dual WAN system, is it possible to use WAN1 (slow) for outbound/inbound traffic and WAN2 (fast) for inbound only? The WAN2 connection has no outbound hardware and it's not possible to send packets out,
only to receive inbound traffic. The ISP is the same on both WANs. This is similar to DirectPC, where outbound traffic uses a dial-up modem and inbound traffic is a satellite downlink only.

Ideally most WAN1 outbound traffic would have the WAN2 IP as its source address and all traffic would return via the high-speed WAN2. Our ISP can configure routers for this purpose. Can pfSense be configured for this? A 3-NIC board would be used, ALIX2D13 for example.

      Thank you,

      Robert

I don't think you can do this with pfsense,

but you should try binding services to wan 1/2 , e.g. http to wan1 and smtp to wan2

you would have to create rules and setup gateways.
