I am trying to setup squidguard. It works in terms filtering content. However, it blocks my IPTV subscriptions as well. It does not seem to have anything to do with certain content category. It block my TV even when I only have the default set to "allow", which allows everything.

Let's see, I have my IPTV bound to 192.168.1.100. How would I be able to add an exclusion rule for this device? I still doubt it will work, as even the "do-nothing config" blocks it as well.

Thanks for the help. Please be specific.

you'd need to whitelist the device in squid / not squidguard.

proxy's can cause certain services to fail, i've had a couple issue's in the past with registration/activation of certain software.

Thanks for replying, However, it didn't work. I have tried to put that single IP under either "Unrestricted IPs" or "Banned host addresses". neither worked.

The other problem with this squidguard is it blocks my in-house streaming service from the Synology NAS. I use squeezebox devices and server on the NAS> I t blocks it as well. Coincidentally, the IPTV is also a streaming service in nature. They do have in common.

Anyone can help sort this out?

on the general tab there used to be a field "bypass proxy for these source ip's' (or something similar)

          use that
