I've got a Netgate RCC-VE 2440 with a 128MB mSata. I installed the Netgate ADI image. There's no package manager in the web interface.

Did I do something wrong? Is there no package manager available for the ADI image? Any way I can add this, or am I screwed?

I'm fairly new to pfSense and have never played with the Netgate hardware before so forgive me if this is a stupid question.

      Thanks!

According to NetGate support, the Package Manager should be available on this device. So, I suppose a reinstall is in my future. I'll have to see where I messed up.

If anyone has any advice please let me know. Otherwise I'll post back here if/when I figure it out. Thanks.

I installed the Netgate ADI image

Then in normal it will be fine if you do a full install and the package manager must be there too.
Or did you install the pfSense on the eMMC storage and not on the mSATA?

Sounds like you installed the memstick installer image to the mSATA in that case. You need to write that memstick to USB flash, boot from it, run the installer from it to the mSATA. Then you'll have packages. What you're running on now is equivalent to running from a burned live CD, which can't be modified hence has no packages.

I finally had a chance to reinstall. I don't know what I did this time that was different, but the package installer is available. Same install image, same process as far as I can tell. And this time it worked.

Obviously I did something different but I don't know what. Anyway, I appreciate the feedback. Thank you!
