i installed pfSense-memstick-ADI-2.2.6-RELEASE-amd64.img to a new Netgate SG-2440, assigned NICs, logged in to web interface and restored my old config from a core i-3 PC pfSense firewall.

      Now boot stops at:
      F1  pfSense

      F6 PXE
      Boot:  F1

any hints? is a config from a full pc firewall not compatible with the netgate?

Does the old config have a serial speed defined?
In that case it might be different from the default speed in the BIOS, preventing you from seeing the boot output after BIOS stuff.

As the Greek philosopher Isosceles used to say, "There are 3 sides to every triangle."

^ that. Try a different serial speed (like 9600)
