this is probably a long complicated question. We have a wifi network setup across a few counties so its kinda like a big flat network with several pfsense boxes and different internet connections at each box. I would like to have different vlans with each box being able to route to those vlans without having to route to another box to get there incase one is down also no need to route traffic across the network and back. what is the best way to do this currently i have vlan 170 setup on 2 boxes example 192.168.2.1 box 1  192.168.2.2 box 2 it works but neither know about each other. would It be better to place a pfsense box in middle of network to handle all internal traffic.
