      Hello,

      I had 2 WAN connection. My main usage of pfsense is squid and squidguard.
      Is it possible to configure failover with squid in pfsense 2.2.6.

      I had tried to configure with following steps
      https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Multi-WAN

      but in this case squid can not recognize failover of firewall.

      Can any one had done this ?

        System > Advanced, Misc. tab, check "Enable default gateway switching"

          @jimp:

          System > Advanced, Misc. tab, check "Enable default gateway switching"

          Currently using Pfsense 2.2.6Ā  ,is this setup feasible .

          currently i have only 1 WAN and it is working OK with (Transparent Squid + https interception)

          So as per the above post by Jimp i just have to connect 2nd Wan and follow https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Multi-WANĀ  andĀ  check "Enable default gateway switching"

          or anything else required ?

          Manu

                Load balancing Squid doesn't work with current pfSense versions because of a bug, see this thread and this ticket for more information. Unfortunately, no one seems to be much upset about this bug, and it doesn't look like someone is actively trying to fix it.

                  Agree that it would be awesome if this was fixed. ThereĀ  isn't much point in running multi-wan on pfsense with or without squid right now as there are issues with apinger, and pfsense doesn't recovery well after links are restored.

                  It doesn't work on sophos either when running squid which is why I switched pfsense.
