If it's a full install, a crash report would show on the dashboard for submission.

If it's NanoBSD, you'd have to have something hooked up to the serial console recording output to capture the crash dump.

I am full install and VGA, no any report in dashboard for submission.

Then it wasn't a panic/crash. Without more detail about what happened (console output, etc), no conclusion can be made. Best guess might be hardware (temperature or power).

Now is the winter, the temperature is low.  Display a black screen, no keyboard response. Occasionally, the system automatically restart.

With those symptoms and lack of output it sounds more like hardware. It's not a definite answer but without more to go on, it's the most likely conclusion.

Given that's an 8 year old CPU you've got there (ARK says Q1'08) the hardware angle is even more likely.

maybe, but only some PF version happen wrong.

now this version happen auto restart PF system. and PF system has no real internet data through then pf system auto start.

And still no crash report? It's extremely unlikely you would encounter a software problem causing a spontaneous reboot without getting a kernel panic, which would generate a crash report on a full install.

Had the same thing. For me it was my Power supply sometimes dropping below 11.3v and then it hang or it rebooted.

yes, no crash report. Could you add a hardware monitoring function?

                          2 methodes:

                          • Boot it with an desktop OS and use a load generator. Use MB tools that measure all the voltages
                          • Multimeter on the 12v and the 5v rails.

when PF system dead, MB debug light show " 25".  I don't know what it is  mean?

Have you MB tools in PF?

MB=  Motherboard. Most manufacturers have tools that can monitor the mainboard. Usually these tools are for windows, so boot it from an BartPE disc or e.g.

Otherwise, just try another power supply. It's an easy swap to test it.

                                ^ That.

Hardware tools are hardware-specific. There is no way we can include such utilities for all hardware. Use a bootable diagnostics ISO from the manufacturer or an open source one, it may have some tests you can try.

Any codes shown like that are typically BIOS-specific or board-specific, so check your MB manual for that.

                                  debug 25 is:

                                  Early PCI Initial actions:

                                  • Include a PCI bus number.
                                  • Assign memory and I / O resources.
                                  • Search Effective VGA device and VGA BIOS, and put that into C000: 0.

                                  早期PCI起始動作:
                                  -列舉出PCI匯流排號碼。
                                  -指派記憶體及I/O資源。
                                  -蒐尋有效的VGA裝置及VGA BIOS,並將它放入C000:0。

I don't know what it is mean?

I am using USB+TF card with pfSense-memstick-2.3-BETA-amd64, it is full install ?
