What wireless card that supported by pfsense
-
Hi Guys,
I'm planning on adding a wireless card to my pfsense
Can you please suggest me which wireless card that supported by pfsense ?I'm running pfsense 2.2.6-RELEASE (i386)
I am planning to use TP-Link TL-WN781ND. Is it supported? I mean, can pfsense recognize it?
If not, can you please suggest me which one should I use? Thanks in advance

- UBNT SR71-E
- Compex WLE200NX
- Adapter to hold them (driver less)
It should also told to you that many users due to the lack of 802.11ac support are using external
WLAN APs that will be then connected to their network over a switch or directly to the pfSense box.
A cheap TP-Link WiFi router that is capable of running DD-WRT or a consumer model from Buffalo or
Netgear that can hold OpenWRT would be mostly cheap and well working for many of us, but with less
hassle and stress. If you get WiFi working well in pfSense you will be the lucky one and have fun and
more abilities then others are offering, but if you get in trouble and one issues is hunting the next one
you should consider to go with an external WiFi device running as AP or in AP mode. -
