HAVP: Heuristics.Broken.Executable check box

I've  been having trouble with HAVP on many downloads (I'm a newbie) where after trying to download something it gives me a "HAVP: Heuristics.Broken.Executable", it does that on many "reputable websites", such as trying to download virtualbox from sun's web site.

As I am too lazy to plug a monitor into my my headless pfsense box I stated digging into the gui on PFsense till I found on >>Services>>Antivirus>>HTTP Proxy, then to almost the end of that page a "Scan Broken Executables" check box.  As far as I can tell it will do the same thing as these posts?

Is it "safe" to keep that service disabled?

Once disabled my downloads are working again.
