I VERY NEW to this  ;D. Im trying to set up for first time. I using an I3 desktop with 4gb ram and 64gig SSD card. It has a RJ45 port on the motherboard and I installed a PCIe gigabit card. When I get to the point to set my lan/wan it only sees the PCIe card and not the one on the motherboard. Also shows"
re0 :link state changed to DOWN
re1 : link state changed to DOWN

      Next line shows:
      Valid interfaces are:
re0 : (shows MAC and the pcie card)
re1 : (also shows the pcie card but a different mac address)

      Any ideas?

Is it possible they are both Realtec interfaces?

:-\  Maybe it's because the onboard adapter is also connected to the PCI-E bus

Or your PCI-E adapter is a dual port card ?

              FIXED!

              Yea….motherboard was same... ;D

I took out the PCIe card and ran the live cd again. This time only showed the one PCIe (re0). Thanks for your quick help!
