      Hopefully someone can answer this in 2 seconds.  We have a running pfsense install with a /24 LAN.  We are in need of more IPs for a growing company.  We are trying to switch to a /23 on the LAN setup page.

      All seems well when we look at the DHCP server, saying the pool could be as wide as 192.168.50.1 - 192.168.51.254  However, if I set any computer to 192.168.51.xxx with /23 subnet, I cannot ping the pfsense box.

      What settings do I need to check?

            Re-adjust

            • Interface
            • NAT
            • DHCP-server

            -> reboot, incl. all switches

            Should do the trick

              Re-writing this post…

              Under your NAT you have 192.168.51.0/24 still hanging around under automatic.

              Try using manual only and see if you can get rid of those entries...

                Your automatic mappings have an overlap 192.168.50/23 overlaps with 192.168.51/24 why are both listed there?  I would switch to manual completely and then switch back to automatic did that clear the issue..  You shouldn't be seeing both those networks in there.
