hi,
I loved the old RRD Graphs with the total amount of MB/GB or Packets per time period.
could you please add again the total amount per period?regards angelo

+1 "throughput" (that was previously available in system tab) is no more available (neither in system or traffic or wherever dropdown box (there is no more tab)
With this new graph interface, looking at both "on day" and "one week" graphs is not as easy as with RRD.
On the other hand, we have now 2 axis but I still don't really understand if it really helps. For sure quickly browsing various graphs is now slower.

The point is not that graphs are not available but that some graphs are not.

that's what he's talking about. new monitoring graphs don't have total transferred.

I agree, it was extremely handy to have. Probably the only thing I miss in 2.3

OK I see, there's the RRD Summary.
But not the same time periods or as conclusive as the "old way"
EDIT: My text ended up in the wrong place…

We're considering options for bringing back total traffic.
-
Assuming the average is precise and accurate enough, average * window = total
-
I'd like to have total traffic brought back as well so another vote for that feature to return.

The loss of all my total traffic historical data, and the fact this feature is no longer supported is a huge disappointment for me.
I joined the forums to say this, so I hope this emphasizes my hope this feature will be returned.
Thanks
edit: installed the package called "RRD_Summary" this does show total data but doesn't graph it as far as I can tell.

spent a couple of hours searching for this info. I really hope the new graphs will get the "period totals" back, I otherwise love the new version style/usage.
-
Would also like the custom date/time range brought back instead of the limited choices. Makes it easy to fight with Comcast when they say I am using more bandwidth than I am actually using.
-
Please bring it back!
Was VERY useful and now completely gone.It was a very commonly replied upon report.
Companies want to and expect to be able to look at traffic history and see how it has changed over days, weeks, months, busy events etc.
It was the main selling point for a client I am working with now and we actually had to roll back to 2.2 for this reason.I really don't understand the mentality behind decisions to drop a feature like this that is so commonly used and demanded on gateway reports.

I'm getting along with "monitoring for now as it has options to show time span.
I have not got my head around or figured out the "right graph" and "left graph" items.Only "left graph" appears to work or really do anything.
Right graph just prints a line on the right side of the graph but shows no data.
It's either complete inop or I have no clue how to use it.
Also "graph type" is always "(disabled)". buts says "line" in the config field.

Why was it removed? I don't understand :o

Because it's a function of rrdtool graph, which has absurdly large dependencies in latest rrdtool. jdillard's working on a replacement with vnstat.

That's good to hear :D
Just ordered a SG-4860 btw, looking forward to getting rid of my current power hungry and large computer for this beauty ;D -
Any chance update 2.3_1 includes the restoration of our beloved feature?

Except that vnstat was also dropped in v2.3.
The RRD Graphs were useful for a bunch of reasons:
- Traffic per day / month / week / year
- Being able to look and see how busy a link was without sitting on Status / Traffic Graph (which does not show history)
- NNTP graphs showing jitter / offset
I'm not pleased at all that RRD Graphs were dropped in 2.3.
-
While I appreciate the new design aspects, the old RRD graphs were a lot easier to access and read.
Hope someone will create a package for legacy graphs.

new monitoring feature is useless for me
plz bring back rrd graph or give any alternative for traffic summary
so disapointed after upgrading to 2.3 :'(
