      Good Afternoon Guys
i don't know if my idea is possible but i wanna share it with you.
      the scenario is as following.
IPS Router >>>>> VMWARE ESXI 6.0 >>> Pfsense VM
i used to have a Cisco ASA firewall behind the ISP Router . the ISP Router was on a bridge mode,
the idea is to have the ISP router on bridge mode and have LAN 1 of the ISP router connected to the VM Pfsense Nic 1 and use the virtual PFSENSE as the main firewall of the network.
if it possible , would i have some speed slowness ?

      thank you

yes you can run pfsense on vm.. Many people do it.. How many nics does your esxi box have?  Your going to want at min 2.. One that connects to your isp device, and then 1 for your network.

          Thank you John,
          yes m y ESXI has 4 NICS.
its a great new to know its possible.
having the ISP router on bridge mode, would the Pfsense get the DHCP IP automatically ?
1 IPS NIC and one for productions.
the production one can i connect it to a switch and afterward connect devices to the switch ?

I have been running pfsense on esxi for long time..  Yes if your bridge mode depending on your isp you should get dhcp.  I get dhcp via my cable connection.

Just validate per the mac of the vnic in esxi that your connected to the right ones in pfsense.
