LAN IP can't resolve domain.
-
Hello,
My Lan IP is 192.168.1.1
I set dhcp users dns server set to 192.168.1.1
But I use nslookup command and try resolve any domain. It's will show "Server failed"Server: pfSense.mouse-team.com.tw
Address: 192.168.1.1*** pfSense.mouse-team.com.tw can't found pchome.com.tw: Server failed
I set DNS Resolver enabled and enable DNS Forward. But it's also Server failed.
Could I lost any settings?? -
My WAN can connect to internet.I have set ISP DNS server on pfsense too.
I can ping www.google.com.tw and can resolve address.
But use nslookup can't resolve www.google.com.tw. -
Check to see if your DNS servers are entered correctly on your DHCP settings. If your firewall can resolve hostnames but your clients can't then they probably aren't getting the right name server information. check that the interface you've set for your DNS forwarder is the LAN.

I have connect to firewall by ssh.And use nslookup to resolve it.It's show Server fault.
I have screenshot it.

Your firewall is using itself as it's primary DNS server. Check your DNS settings on the firewall and point it to an external server(try 8.8.8.8).

If you have not configured forward lookup DNS servers under System -> General -> DNS Servers, check that your WAN interface receives DHCP assigned DNS server IP addresses.
If there are no DHCP issued DNS server IP addresses (or if you have a statically assigned IP address on that interface), then go ahead and add some DNS servers under System -> General -> DNS Servers. -
