Just installed 2.3.1_2, by the way update didn't work from GUI, but did though command line (Option 13)
pfSense looks to boot OK, but web interface returns
502 Bad Gateway
nginx
Tried the update on two boxes and same thing happens.
Thanks.

Just an update.
Did a "Reset to factory defaults" from console, reconfigured interface but still receive 502. -
I didnt know update 2 was available.
-
Is to me :) or :( in this case…
-
I think that was an update system slip by the team.

Still shows up on all the boxes besides the 2 already installed on. I didn't install it on any of the production boxes, just a failover one and another one to test whether I can reproduce an error.
Regardless, either update is broken, I'm doing something wrong or needs to be removed from updates distribution.

Thanks for jumping on it so promptly.
Not really a big deal, hopefully it got caught early enough and no one updated a production box:)

Its gone …..
2.3.1-RELEASE-p1 (amd64) built on Wed May 25 14:53:06 CDT 2016 FreeBSD 10.3-RELEASE-p3 The system is on a later version than the official release.
(I didn't update/upgrade last week … now I'm on a 'later' version :) )
edit : I made the widget somewhat more clear :
system is on a later version than the official release. ( Installed 2.3.1_1 : Proposed 2.3.1)
"Proposed" is what's been taken from https://updates.pfsense.org/_updaters/amd64/version (using the 64 bit version)
The 2.3.1_1 just vanished ….. >:(
Someone is messing with something ;) -
Mine is on 2.3.1_1, and I got "The system is on a later version than the official release."

Ditto

Same here.
Then I went into update settings and made certain Stable was selected and hit save. This fixed the problem and it now shows 2.3.1_1 installed and that it is the current version.
However, pfBlockerNG reported being on later version than release. I foolishly hit reinstall, and now downgraded to 2.0.14.

Sorry for the trouble. Renato and I are out at BSDCan and others built release partially to confirm the docs are correct. Of course if you don't actually follow all the instructions, you might upload part of it to production rather than staging… grr
Though that brought up the fact it should have a better confirmation process to avoid such screw ups, which we'll work on improving.

That just updated the metadata so it got the latest.

The revert ended up reverting some package versions. Those are all back to where they were now. If you were messing around with things this afternoon while things were changed around and aren't seeing the latest package version now, run 'pkg update -f' and you should see the latest.

yup i got the same message

is 2.3.1_2 coming soon ?

https://redmine.pfsense.org/versions/30
It will be released at least when 100% of maintained bugs are closed. May be next week. -
Seems so, the 4 open issues are in Feedback status.
