I've done a quick scan through the forums and couldn't find an answer to this.

I'm in the process of moving our network over to use the 'Deny unknown clients'.

I'm taking the page from the DHCP Leases and adding them as static mappings, but not assigning them an IP address.
This is all fine, except when I look at the DHCP leases page I get 2 entries, one for the static lease without an IP Address and a 2nd one with an IP Address.

      My question is:
      Is this expected?
Is the only way to change this appy an IP address to the static lease?

      Using pfSense 2.0.3-RELEASE

Thanks for any feedback in advance!

I'm also wondering this myself since I'm considering using the "deny uknown clients" option but it seems you have to add static mappings for all dhcp clients.

          Hi,

probably I've got the same problem. I've enabled the DHCP server on my WiFi IF and deny unknown hosts. Since I've only one smart phone for now, one static mapping is given with an empty IP4 address, should get one from pool following the description near by. Well, the phone got a dyn. IP in the given range (hostname android-xxxx), but obviously not the static mapping applies.

May fault? I'm using pfsense 2.1/embedded on alix2d3
