4mbps up and down (its slow i know)
around 200 registered user (captive portal with username and pass)
around 20-30 users active
Squidguard to be enabled for blocking xxx
Firewall rules to block facebook,youtube,twitter.
Suggest a system for this: (complete specs) ram and other stuff also include

Please help ASAPNo, you don't need different systems. To be honest, nearly any compatible hardware with 2GB of RAM will easily handle that load. I'd suggest the SG-2440 from the pfSense hardware store. That will easily handle what you need and will give you room to grow.

Please help ASAPAre you planning on buying a stand-alone AP or using pfSense as the AP?
It's best to buy a stand-alone device. pfSense/FreeBSD doesn't even support 802.11ac yet.

Yes, agreed. I wasn't thinking of pfSense as the AP; just answering the question of running Captive Portal and Squidguard on the same hardware.

Squid and captive portal on same system?
