SG2440 Console issue
-
Hi all,
I just started with SG 2440 pfsense firewall.
I was able to enter the interface via http//:192.168.1.1. But out of sudden, I can't either ping or enter the interface.
And so, I decided to do factory reset, but the button doesnt seems to be working.
Next, I connect the firewall through console port, and the message shown in the attachment appear.
And now, I decided to reboot using USB1.
But almost half an hour has passed, the screen are still showing "booting".
May I know if there is anything that I could done?
Thanks in advance!

Not familiar with the SG2440, but have you tried booting from one of the 5 SATA drives listed?

If you don't see any console output, odds are that it has changed to a different serial speed or it isn't using the correct console. We have code in place which makes disabling the console on there very difficult, so you should try changing your client to other serial speeds to ensure it's doing the right thing.
Usually 115200 is the default, but if your config had set a different speed it might still be lingering on that speed, so also try other speeds like 9600 and 38400

Thanks guy, I am now able to reboot from memstick, noticed that the image I installed earlier wasn't the correct one…
However, when I try to quick install, "Error loading Script" was coming out stated:
"An internal Lua error occurred while trying to run the script /usr/local/shared/dfuibe_lua/easy_install/main.lua: ... "does anyone has any idea?
Thanks in advance.

Did you send a message in to our support team as well? I was looking through some very similar screenshots and logs yesterday with some of our other support staff. It looks as though it's having trouble reading the eMMC media, which may indicate a hardware issue. If you already have a conversation going with us via support, keep going that way.
If not, contact us and we can check into what may be happening there. If it is a hardware issue and the unit is still under warranty it can likely be replaced with an RMA.
If you cannot do that for some reason, or if the unit is out of warranty, then you could purchase an mSATA disk and use that instead of the built-in storage.
