      Hi,

Before this problem happened I have smooth running pfsense. Every Subnet has dedicated port.
      Pfsense v2.3
      Amd64
3x Intel Pro/1000 MT Dual Port
          NIC 1 ( Port 1-2) WAN1 and WAN2
          NIC 2 ( Port 3-4) LAN1 and LAN2
          NIC 3 ( Port 5-6) LAN3 and LAN4

Now the time comes that I need to add another subnet.
So I created a 3 vlan on port 5, activated the first vlan, then apply the configuration.
after that the port 5 and 6 have an error and collision.
I restarted the machine the error still happen after a few minutes
but when I unplug one of them (5 or 6) everything is working fine no error and collision.

The rest of the port ( 1-4 ) have no problem.

      Solutions tried:
      Removed vlans created
      Unassigned the interface 5
      Power off the machine
      Upgrade to v2.3.2

      the problem still exist.

Right now I unplugged the port 5 temporarily.

Hope you can help me guys why its happening.

      Thanks.

What are your subnets? Sounds like you may possibly have overlapping subnsets.

          They are on different subnets.
Even the other port was unassigned, the problem still exist.

I also reinstalled the pfsense still the same problem.

What is the actual error message and symptoms that showed a "collision" on ports 5&6?

              Here is the error

              em6: Watchdog timeout – resetting
              em6: Hardware Initialization failed
em6: Unable to Initialize the hardware

              em6 = port 6

after that, bunch of errors and collisions appear in Interface Status.
