      Hi!

Just wondering if this setup will be good. The onboard 2x Intel GB, are they to be found in pfsense?
I have a 100/100 connection and i gonna setup an oPenVPN connection. I hope i will get a good throughput.
Replacing my "Edgerouter-X" the edgerouter could only handle 10Mbit oPenVPN throughput  :-\

      Gigabyte GA-H170N-WIFI, Socket-1151 2xIntel GB
Intel Core i3-6100T Skylake Processor "AES-NI"
      HyperX FURY DDR4 2133MHz 8GB
      Fractal Design Node 304 Mini-ITX
      Corsair VS450, 450W PSU

      Big thanks!  ;D

I've been looking at a build using that same MB, but haven't done it yet.  There are a few threads with people reporting that it works well:

        https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=101689.msg567062#msg567062

The NICs are Intel i211 and i219, which are supported in pfSense 2.3.1 and later.

        My potential build:
        CPU: Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-L9i 33.8 CFM CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H170N-WIFI Mini ITX LGA1151 Motherboard
        Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory
Storage: Samsung 830 Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
        Case: Mini-Box M350 HTPC Case
        Other: picoPSU-150-XT (kit)

I may trim the memory back to 8GB.  Hope that helps…

I would expect that it can handle a lot more than 100Mbps in OpenVPN throughput.
Look here for some performance comparison

              Hi,

Did you eventually used GA-H170N-WIFI? Do both NICs work on pfSense 2.3+? What about the bundled WiFi dongle?

              Thank you!
