2.3 monitoring

How can we generate a graph for a time period in the past? We used to do that under "custom" tab till version 2.2.6
Thanks

Custom time periods capability is not available in 2.3. It is available in 2.3.1 though.

In 2.3.1 there is a custom option in the time period drop down. Select that and the start/end fields will appear.
there is a gif in the development thread: https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=110388.0

Thanks. You saved me. I upgraded to 2.3.1 and got the custom ranges. We need this for a dispute with our ISP regarding the connection quality.
I am using screenshots to save the graphs but "Export as / Save as" a picture would be a nice addition to "Export as CSV" (Feature request)
Thanks.

I thought there was a CSV export option when selecting your graph parameters. Not at home, can't remember for sure.

There is an export to CSV, I believe Ragai was asking for an Export Graph Image in addition to the CSV option. If so, the graphs are generated on the client side, you'll just have to take a screenshot to get an image.

You are correct jdillard. I thought that "Export As Image" would be a nice addition to the existing "Export As CSV" feature in case one needs to export quite a few graphs to demonstrate an issue.
I am not a web programmer so please ignore my request if it would require too much time & effort.

No worries. It's just that the graphs are rendered in the browser so the server doesn't have a graph to render, just numbers in a database. One of the reasons for removing the old RRD graphing was because the server-side graphing libraries were going to double the size of the overall image, which wasn't cool. Developing a workflow for screenshots isn't too difficult and there are lots a handy tools out there. For instance, on OSX you just need to hit command+shift+4.

There is an export to CSV
Anybody has an idea what are the values in the first column? The next columns are "packet loss", "delay average", ""delay std. dev.", but the first column header is missing.
I was guessing it's Unix timestamp, but it's not, because a calculation from that number gives errorneous results.
I need to present a log to my boss, and I can't decode timestamps to absolute time values… -

I need to present a log to my boss, and I can't decode timestamps to absolute time values…It's UNIX time with three extra digits on the end for sub-second precision (not that RRD really needs it…)
