I've just hit the purchase key and ordered this one too bud.
Unfortunately I'm a pfsense noob so can't say I've got any experience here to offer you lol!
Reason I went for this product as opposed to the J1900 is the better cpu which also supports AES, newer gen so also has slightly lower TDP.
Downside though compared to the J1900 is that this has realtek NIC's (which i've read can cause issues with driver versions etc).Bit of a gamble but there is one reviewer who has managed to get Pfsense working on it. Hopefully it won't need any major linux recoding as I'm a right noob in that area too :)
hth - entirely your choice - J1900 is confirmed as working fine with pfsense in another thread here v's the slightly better stats of the N3150 but risky realtek nic experience.

The full aluminum case is the size of a paperback and has weight.
Zero issues with 4GB RAM and 120GB mSATA SSD.

I have a SATA 64GB SSD and is this the RAM module Kingston https://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-PC1600-CL11-Memory-Module/dp/B00L2CDEW6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1476950743&sr=8-1&keywords=Kingston+KVR16LS11%2F4+%284GB%29 - is this the correct RAM?
Will this take a SATA SSD? -
As long as the RAM is low-voltage, 1.35v/DDR3L, you should be fine.
It does support 2.5 SATA SSDs.
Search for N3150 nettop at images.google.com and take a look at the inside photos.
