Hello, I would like to enforce google safe search. I have tried what says this post: https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=112335.0 but it doesn't work for me. I follow every step, I am not sure if I am making something wrong, or if this configuration doesn't work anymore, I think is that because when I go to: 216.239.38.120 , that ip is not google with safe search forced anymore. Please Help

It's not a bug, it's an undocumented feature

That IP address is still used for forcing safe search in the US, but it might not be used in your region.

Try doing a DNS lookup on forcesafesearch.google.com  and use the IP address that you get back from that query.

That's the problem. I am from Mexico, and when I go to http://forcesafesearch.google.com/ I get:

          _404. That’s an error.

The requested URL / was not found on this server. That’s all we know._

But what is strange is that when I go to http://forcesafesearch.google.com/ from a Proxy Server in USA I still get the same error. I don't understand why google removed that webpage, that is nonsense

I was also thinking in a way to append &safe=active& to my searches, but I don't how can I do this. Does anybody know?

It is not a page you go to in a browser. You set your DNS to resolve google.com and www.google.com to the same IP address as forcesafesearch.google.com

Your browser will still think it's querying google.com or www.google.com, but it's hitting the forced safe search version instead.

I found another error, when I go to Services, DNS Resolver has a Stopped status, then I click in StartService, but is still Stopped, What is happening?

That would be a topic for a new thread, if it isn't starting, one of your custom options must be invalid in some way. Check the resolver log.

Now it works, Thanks!, but I have another problem. I also want to use OpenDNS  https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=112288.0 , but for that I need to disable DNS Resolver. How Can I set OpenDNS in my LAN without disabling Google Safe Search

One problem per thread.  This thread was about Enforce Google Safesearch.  Since you have solved that problem, move on to a new thread with a new title that reflects your problem.
