    Install pf on external USB but boot from hdd

      hello
      a have problem:
      computer miniATX has a CF IDE disk(only 128MB, so it will not fit PF)
      computer does not support boot from USB.

      i want install partition PF on external USB drive, but with booting from CF IDE.
      i try install plop on CF, but after boot a have error: bios 0kb/okb available memory cant load kernel.

      please help

        Much the easiest think here would be to get a larger CF card.

        You could try a different boot loader.

        Exactly what hardware do you have?

          i have ga-c7v7-rh with 1GB RAM and 256MB CF. and i do not want to invest in upgrade this….
          a tried monowall, but mono does not detect my wirelles tl-wn722n(i want make AP)

            pfSense will not work with the TL-WN722N either. The FreeBSD uath(4) driver only supports AR5XXX devices.

            4GB CF cards are <$10. Not a very big inverstment.  ;)
