Watchguard X700, Installation success, failed after bootloader modification

Hey! I successfully installed, and booted my x700 box from a 4GB CFcard yesterday, using the hint.ata.0.mode=PIO4 boot option.
But after making it permanent, dropping to a shell and modifying loader.conf i get:1 pfSense
