The problem is - I have ASUS P4C800 motherboard and was trying to install the latest version of Pfsense. Installation works just fine, but when I'm trying to boot the installation I'm having errors like : error 1 lba XXXXXXXXXX. The Allmighty says it is the incompatibility arising from ATA misbehaving. Seems like the motherboard uses "workaround" mechanism but Pfsense supplies the 48 bit LBA numbers directly.

Confirmed the problem .This is really the chipset limitation of which BTX loader is unaware. The workaround solution was to switch SATA into RAID JBOD. Thankfully the mainboard supports this.
