      Hi:
I have an Orico USB RAID enclosure connected to a small 3rd generation NUC that I want to use as a remote file backup system.  I'll only need ssh access to the system and I am considering using pfSense on the NUC.  My reasons for pfSense include: 1) I'm already running it on a home firewall, so I'm familiar with it, 2) it's easy to lock down, 3) small footprint.  Am I missing something?  Is there some other freeBSD variant I should consider?  (I'm running FreeNAS on my NAS–that's definitely not what I want).

      Thanks,
      Phil

Then I would be ensure that this devices are sorted with an sufficient APC UPS that the device is not
rebooting after an power outage and the device number will be changing depending on the USB bus!
