Noob Help - Dual NIC Configuration
-
Hi,
I am quite new to PFSense. We are a startup and to save some money, yet use a powerful firewall, i thought of going the PFSense way. We can't buy netgate boxes in our country, so it had to be a custom box.
The motherboard is GA-H110M-S21 running a corei3 processor with 8gb of RAM. It has an onboard Realtek Ethernet port. In addition, I pulled a working Intel I350-t4 from another machine and put it in this box.
Installing PFSense went smooth.
But when I am trying to assign the interface, I have issues.
If I assign WAN or Lan to Realtek it works. But unfortunately, that's just one port.
If I assign WAN and/or Lan to Intel (which I can see, along with the 4 MAC Addresses), it doesn't work. This Intel board is genuine, was working on another box and has it's firmware updated. I can also see it in the interface options. But if I assign WAN, it doesn't connect to the internet. If I assign Lan, then no machine can get DHCP from it or ping it.
I have PFSense 2.3.2 update 1 with me.
Your advice would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

I can even see the NIC in the WebGUI or in the PFSense VGA terminal. But on assigning WAN or LAN to it, the device just doesn't work.
