Static WAN

Hi all,

I've just been assigned a static IP from my ISP but I'm not connected to the internet after I configure the WAN interface. I entered the information given to me from the ISP such as IPv4 address, subnet prefix, and upstream gateway. Are there any other additional steps I may have missed?

if your on a cable modem - most likely need to power cycle it

Yes it is a SMC cable modem. I'll give that a try. I was just wondering from a configuration standpoint if there was anything else I needed to do? For example, Change NAT settings, DNS or IP tables?

nope just change the wan interface to static vs dhcp.
