I'm looking to subscribe to a VPN service to help protect my identity from the internet. I have fiber speeds @ 950MBPS down/up. From what I understand my speeds will drop tremendously and latency speeds will be lower. Some say I won't notice but I like the idea of being in control, isn't that the purpose of building a firewall.

With that said, is there a way to protect identity without a vpn? I'd like to keep things the way they are and change a few things in the firewall so hackers and phishing websites etc can't see me coming.

          Check your browser tweeks:

          Then unplug the cable. ;)
