      Been playing with the picture widget and right now don't have much use for it.  Would it be safe to delete the <picturewidget>…</picturewidget> and picturewidget_filename out of the config.xml by hand?  It seems to stay in the config.xml whether the widget is active or not.

        Yep - that's how you do it. Always a good idea to back up before hand-editing config.xml no matter what.

          Thanks, is the change safe to leave the system running or is a reboot considered best practice or advisable once I hand jam the file?

            A reboot is not necessary.
