Windows Server 2012 AD DC/VirtualBox/pfSense
-
Hi,
So i'm trying to setup a virtual test environment for my microsoft MCSA server exams.
I want to use VirtualBox for:
1. pfSense
2. Windows Server 2012/R2 with active directory domain controller, dhcp and dns services.
3. Windows 10 virtual machine that has to communicate with the server and has to be in the AD
–-------------------
The current TCP/IP of my macbook i'm using to setup this virtual environment is:
IP: 192.168.0.161/24
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1
I made a virtual machine in virtual box for pfSense & modified the network settings to 2 adapters : bridged & internal
Within the pfSense configuration I disabled DHCP and modified it to static instead.
What ip addresses do i have to assign on pfSense for both WAN & LAN?
I want to set the Windows Server 2012 DC on a network range of 10.10.0.0/16.
The current TCP/IP of my macbook i'm using to setup this virtual environment is:
IP: 192.168.0.161/24
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1

by selecting 'static' in the interface configuration page
-
by selecting 'static' in the interface configuration page
Hey, sorry for the misunderstanding.
I do know how to set it on static in the configuration.
What i mean is what ip addresses do i have to give to WAN & LAN.

If this is just for testing purposes set WAN to DHCP and your LAN to whatever you want and then configure your virtual network as you please.
