      Good Morning everyone (morning at least here in Germany)

      I have a quick question about Load Balancing, if that is even the right Term for it :o

      I'm the network admin of a LAN-Party (year, that still exist) with around 80 guests and now we're getting three Internetconnections. Now I want to split the connections to the following system:

      ISP 1 –> Connection for Users
      ISP 2 --> Connection for us Admins
      ISP 3 --> Steam Downloads

      My question: Do I have to setup a Loadbalancer or just clarify in the Firewall Rules which IP / Hostname should use which Gateway?

      Thanks for your help!

      Cheers,

      Gamie

        You will need to add the three WAN interfaces and policy route the traffic on the LAN interfaces to the specific WANs as desired.

        That is done by passing traffic on the LAN interface and setting the appropriate gateway on that rule.

        So you need to be able to identify steam downloads, and set the gateway to ISP3_GW on the rule(s) that pass that traffic from the LAN hosts.

        DO NOT set a source address/port in a port forward or firewall rule unless you KNOW you need it!
