I can't seem to find a list of recommended hardware for newbies like me to refer to, so we can research/study the components of a build.

Are there any forum members who would like to share their successful and fully functional builds?.
I have checked the freebsd site for hardware recommendations, but it is quite confusing.
I am trying to build a pfsense router from scratch and need help.
