Install ZFS on SG-1000? (corrupt filesystem)

Sorry if I didn't find it and this has already been answered. I have an SG-1000 that I've been monkeying around with. To be honest I've had a heck of a time keeping the filesystem from getting corrupt to the point where the device will no longer boot and requires manual recovery via the OTG port. This has happened 3 times now. I am not sure if I'm dealing with faulty hardware or just that UFS is not stable on this device yet?
Long story short before getting support involved I wanted to see if there is way to format the internal MMC with ZFS? When applying the Recovery image through the console, it seems to just format UFS without ever asking or presenting any options. Is there a way to do this or am I barking up the wrong tree? Thanks

Is it not an option on the Auto Install for 2.4.0 BETA? I know it is when using 2.4 on something other than an SG-1000 but don't know if it has some kind of special image that doesn't include it (it sounds like the recovery image is different)? Maybe try using a standard 2.4.0 image off the website?
You can't migrate directly from UFS to ZFS if that's what you're asking. It has to be a clean install.
That sounds like it might be a bad card though? Three times is a lot.

So did you change the card? I had a pi with card that would corrupt at drop of hat as well.. Replaced the sd card and zero problems since..

At the moment, there isn't a way to install with ZFS on there. I can't remember specifically if it was the low amount of RAM or if it was a U-Boot limitation though. For one reason or another we decided it wasn't feasible on that platform currently. That could definitely change in the future though.

You are correct.. My bad - but the image they have on the website for the sg-1000 sure looks like there is a card ;)
Does that not look like a SD card right there.. But yes in the specs it says
And on this view - shows a micro SD slot
But then on the specs says

You are correct.. My bad - but the image they have on the website for the sg-1000 sure looks like there is a card ;)
The SG-1000 has a eMMC built in and microSD card slot. You can use the microSD slot with your own microSD card in order to reinstall pfSense on the unit if you don't have or don't want to use the OTG USB cable.

How are you doing this? We are aware of a few bugs related to the UFS and FreeBSD, but we are having hard time replicating it.

I downloaded the recovery image from the pfSense portal. I wrote it to a USB with Rufus and then booted that off the OTG cable. It worked fine, and I was up and running for about 2 hours. Then, during the regular configuration from the web GUI it crashed again and basically died - I saw it rebooting from the console after a kernel panic. I was in System > General at the time, just setting the time zone, system name, etc. Basic stuff. This is the 4th time now, so I think I am going to give up on this particular unit and see about RMA'ing it. The recovery image I used for the record was pfSense-netgate-uFW-recover-2.4.0-BETA-arm-20170402-1405.

Yes, that was my next suggestion. It appears something is wrong with your unit, it should not behave like that. Sorry! Please send an email to support@netgate.com and someone will be able to assist you. I'll let support guys know about this. Thanks!

In general, ZFS is not usable on 32 bit CPUs, such as the ARM TI AM3352 used on the SG-1000;
Up to 1-GHz Sitara™ ARM® Cortex®-A8 32-Bit RISC Processor -
ZFS support is not a goal on ARM until we get to arm64.
