      @rcooper:

      Just something i wanted to ask….Do i need to update or flash the bios and anything on the fans would be great i am wondering if i should have put the 32bit image on the hard drive instead of 64bit

      You do not (should not) need to do anything to the BIOS to make this work.  64bit image is correct.  The BIOS has terrific control for the fans. You do not use the WGX program for that if that was what your leading up to..

          WGXepc should be able to control the fans to some extent on the XTM5. Unless maybe if the newer model has different values so it's not recognised.
          The XTM5 has thermal control on the SuperIO chip and that's the default value. The only thing you can set with WGXepc is the minimum speed value so it will usually ramp the fans down to a lower speed but might not if the CPU loading is high enough.

            Yes, After looking around I am almost 100% that i have the xtm 535 or 545 series it came with 2 gigs of ram dual core E5300 2.6 so its not so loud i cant use it but wonder if this unit has its own thermal sensors

              Almost certainly it does. I believe it's the same board as the first gen.

              What does WGXepc report if you run it without any switch? It should say 'XTM5 found', if it doesn't it will never try to make any changes.

                  From time to time my LAN network port is stuck. But i can't find any info in system logs.
                  So, i think this is the build error. At the moment i am use 2.3.3_1

                    Looks like you probably have a 32bit version on 64bit OS or vice versa. Try: https://sites.google.com/site/pfsensefirebox/home/WGXepc64

                            I have troubles with network only when run SQUID.
                            Before it device working absolutely fine.

                                Mmm, hard to say how Squid could cause that.

                                I guess the peak bandwidth could be higher on the LAN from cached data. Not sure what you could do though.
