Need help with maximum length of pfsense login password

I have set my user password to 256 for my pfsense rig and now it says the password is wrong. I suspect I have chosen a way to long password.

Whats the maximum length of passwords for pfsense logins?

The total length of the password must be less than _PASSWORD_LEN (currently 128 characters).

If you put in something longer it should just truncate.. And you would just need to put in the first 128…  But even at 128 as the limit, this seems magnitudes higher than any sane person would attempt to use as their password.
