      Hi,

      I am trying to setup pfsense so it uses a DNS server in the local Network.
      Under DNS Resolver I enabled "DNS Query Forwarding".
      Also I changed the the DNS under General Setup to '192.168.40.11'.

      I can query the DNS on pfsense but not on a client using pfsense DNS

      pfsense:
      Name server Query time
      127.0.0.1 No response
      192.168.40.11 30 msec

      I still want to use pfsense DNS server because of local name resolution, but on a client pc nslookup fails.

      Client:
      nslookup test.de
      Server:  UnKnown
      Address:  192.168.10.1

      *** test.de wurde von UnKnown nicht gefunden: Server failed.

        ok solved it, I have set the outgoing interface to WAN only, whops.
