MLPPP - Not working PFSense
-
I am trying to get my MLPPP setup on Windstream, which they say they support.. I have done what it says to do in the PfSense manual, but no luck.. Any Ideas? Both Lines are up, and both get full speed.. but I can't get the combined speed..

You should only have one PPP entry that uses both, not three.

Thanks for posting back! I have change the settings, rebuilt the PPP, rebooted everything, still no luck. Strange, when I do something on the internet, both modems ethernet lights blink like crazy.. Are both doing the same task? Is it odd that it is only showing one interface? Thanks!

With MLPPP you get true aggregation of the circuits โ They are bonded to ONE "interface" that sends packets over both modems in a specific way such that both lines are utilized at the same level.
If you download at 5Mbit/s for example each line will carry 2.5Mbit/s each.
-
Ok, when I do a speed test, shouldn't i be seeing around 24Meg down?
-
If both lines are 12Mbit/s and working properly, then that would be your theoretical maximum.
-
Ok, but they are not.. Just getting 12.. Any troublesshooting options?

Are you signed up for MLPPP from your provider?ย I know- obvious question. But Ive run into people before that think they can just set it up on their end and make it work.
Your going to have a little extra overhead but if your lines are truly 12mbps each you should have over 20 bonded.
Can you post your ppp logs?

Well, the Sales Rep lied or didn't know what the crap they were talking about.. The Sony Redbacks in my area do not support MLPPP.. So I can going to just try to load balance them..
