6rd Gateway always shows offline.

Is it normal for my 6rd gateway to be offline.
I followed this guide  https://kdemaria.wordpress.com/2015/04/26/how-to-configure-pfsense-2-2-2-for-ipv6-on-centurylink-gig-fiber/

I now get ipv6 address on my computers and can ping via ipv6 from computers, but under gateway 6rd shows offline and 100% loss

This might just be how 6rd works. Same thing for me. The gateway monitor section shows the default gateway as the gateway IP address and the monitor IP address.

For me that winds up being 2602:blah:blah:: which I can't ping. Traceroute/tracepath shows a hop which is 2602:blah:blah::1 which I can ping. I just change the monitor IP to 2602:blah:blah::1 address as a workaround.
