Got this strange problem of the /var/run being filled up. The file in question seems to be php-cgi.core.

Anyone know how to solve this issue?

      pfsense version:
      2.3.4-RELEASE (amd64)
built on Wed May 03 15:13:29 CDT 2017
      FreeBSD 10.3-RELEASE-p19

      The packages installed:
      acme
      snort
      squid

      Then I removed:
      snort
      squid

But the problem is still there.

Not sure what is causing the problem.

      Need advice.

      P.V.Anthony

Something is causing PHP to crash, but there isn't enough information to say why that might be happening.

You'll need to look through the system log or watch the console while it boots and find log entries around when the crash happens to determine what might be causing it.

          Thanks for the advice.

I will check the logs and watch the bootup.

Nothing came up that I understood. So here is what was done.

            1. Backup the configuration.
            2. Re-install the whole pfsense.
            3. Restore the configuration.

All working without any error. All running smooth now.
