Assign Static IP to workstations
-
Hi! Just new to pfsense :)
Can I ask, how do assign static ip (via DHCP STATIC MAPPINGS) to workstations with ip range of 192.168.2.xxx if my pfsense's ip is 192.168.2.1?
Thanks!

Go to Status - DHCP Leases
Scroll to the device and click the "+" icon (less color), hover over it to make sure it is the right one
and it will say "Add Static MappingFill out that page.

Thanks for the reply!
My problem is my pfsense ip address is 192.168.2.1, whenever I tried to make static ip to a workstation using a 192.168.2.xxx range, it kept asking me to input an ip that is outside the pool, don't know what that mean :( I need our workstation (PC's, Mac's and some machines) to be on the 192.168.2.xxx ip range.
Hope someone can help.
TIA!

The DHCP server requires that the "reservations" by outside the pool of dynamically assigned addresses.
Setup your DHCP pool to cover 192.168.2.10 thru 99 for example, and then you can assign static (reserved) addresses starting at 192.168.2.100 and above. -
